Your Last Goodbye
As we routinely send our loved ones off, we usually don’t know when our last goodbye will be. We shake the hand of a loyal friend, we drop the kids off at school, we wave to our spouse as we pass in the driveway.
What if that were our last goodbye? Did we communicate how valuable they were to us? Did they know how much we loved them?
There are so many uncertainties in life. Clinging to what’s true and lovely and good can oftentimes be a challenge.
If you know something is true…cling to it.
If you know something is lovely…cling to it.
If you know something is good…cling to it.
What is good in your life?
Who do you love?
What do you know is true?
With all the uncertainty in this world this I know…
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting” (Psalm 136:1).
How do we process senseless tragedy? I haven’t figured this out. Have you?
We never know when our last goodbye will be…but…
We can thank God for another day and hold our loved ones a little closer.
Tell someone you love them today.
