I Interviewed My 96 Year Old Father-in-Law on Thanksgiving
I brought back this post from years ago because my father-in-law graduated to heaven this past year. In remembrance of him this week–Thanksgiving week–I wanted to share this again. Wally Williams was 99 when he passed on and we were so blessed to be with him during his last days.
Sometimes you just have to seize the opportunity when you have it. On Thanksgiving this year while the rest of the family was in the other part of the house enjoying each other I decided to interview my 96 year old father-in-law. You can hear the family in the background so it’s not the best video but I may never get a chance to do this again.
I asked him what’s most important in life.
I asked him about his faith.
I asked him what he looks forward to.
He said, “You get paid dividends for doing the right thing.” He talked of marrying the “right” person.
Any regrets? His answer may surprise you.
For this week I wanted to share this inspiring talk with my husband’s dad. The family in the background just adds the icing on the cake.
Be blessed, my friends. Enjoy your loved ones. Have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
